Petty roommates don’t let their other roommate use the TV because she didn’t pay for it, so she retaliates by taking away the microwave and Air Fryer she bought on her own and hiding them in her room

Sometimes petty people need a taste of their own medicine…

In this case, the pettiness wasn’t between two strangers: it was between family. Two sisters and their cousin moved in together while they were in college, and they split rent and utilities. One of the sisters and the cousin wanted to buy a new TV, but the other sister said she couldn’t pitch in with money since this time she was tight. The other two bought it anyway. One day, the sister and cousin were gone, and the other sister was home with her boyfriend. They wanted to watch TV, but it turned out all the apps were blocked with a password she didn’t have. The sister told her she hadn’t paid for it, so she couldn’t use it, and that’s when the petty revenge came in. She had bought a microwave and an Air Fryer all by herself, but they all shared, so she took both and hid them in her locked room. After all, they still had a stove to cook, and the other two hadn’t paid for them. Under their same logic, they weren’t entitled to use those appliances either. 

Isn’t it lovely when you can use their same logic against them? It’s definitely satisfying to see that people who are selfish and have a very twisted definition of what a boundary is get taught a lesson. Sure, she didn’t pay for the TV. And they didn’t pay for the microwave or air fryer. They weren’t even paying rent and utilities on time, so the other one had to take over so they wouldn’t get behind on their payments. Even though it is a good thing to keep track of your money, especially when you live with someone, there’s a difference between being responsible and just being cheap and selfish. The sister and cousin seem to be leaning closer to the latter. Oh well, at least they will learn to share.
