Cats are not a species that are all too well known for their trainability. In fact many of the anecdotes, jokes and jibes that surround feline kind are actually aimed at the fact that cats with their superior intellect have no interest in participating in training whatsoever. And it is hard to blame them for such a thing considering. But in this story we have a case of a kid who has managed to teach their cat to do something rather extraordinary while also deeplying pleasing his dad at the same time.

Whether it is kids or cats, parenting is no easy thing. Heck, when it is both kids and cats it is even tougher. On one side you have a screaming demon who is always demanding food and has no sense of rationality and on the other side…the same thing. Sure, they come in slightly differing variants but the results are very much the same in the end. So you can imagine how burned out this dad was when trying to cook up a plan to stop the family cat ruining the nice paint job on his kid’s bunk bed. A behavior that he felt he would be unable to ever stop.

But what this dad did not realize is that it was never about stopping that behavior, but replacing it with a different one. Something that somehow his child managed to see and come up with a very creative solution.
