‘My car was covered in notes that there was a kitten inside it’: Community saves scared feline hiding in engine after 12 hr and 2 car rescued

While cats can be some of the smartest creatures on the planet they are also just as likely to be some of the dumbest. Now, it is not totally their fault as who can expect a cat to understand the complex mechanics of a car and its engine, but you would have hoped that after seeing these big metal boxes whizzing around the streets that it would make sense not to approach one ever. But when you are a lone kitten trying to survive a cold night on your own, a warm engine is quite the inviting spot to crawl into.

However, even thought it might have been easy to crawl into the cozy engine block, getting out would prove problematic and once the engine had cooled and conditions became uncomfortable this kitten began looking for a way out. Not that she was able to find one on her own and so we arrive at the beginning of our story at 2 am when a passer by happened to hear this kitten’s cries for help coming from the car. Now, of course it was late and dark and incredibly unclear whether the kitten was in the car or in the engine but nonetheless the hooman who heard her felt responsible and left some notes on the car for its owner to warn them not to drive off.

But not only did they do that, they also offered their help because they knew that a job half done is a job not worth having begun. And together with a few feline loving community members and a whole lot of tires and patience this tiny feline was finally freed from the scary spot she had gotten stuck in.
