Companies across different industries and sectors are pushing layoffs. Justifying these job losses under the guise of AI improvements and efficiencies.
But I keep returning to the same thought:
I haven’t seen AI actually take anyone’s job yet. Have you?
Don’t get me wrong. Jobs are vacant and disappearing. Everywhere is short-staffed, but I have yet to see evidence that an AI is actually doing that work. It has always just been pushed onto the remaining team members.
