Each week I get to become a whole new character.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"starter\" class=\"mb1-wrapper\">\n<div id=\"mb1-static\" class=\"htlad-mb1\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"leader2-inline-static\" class=\"htlad-leader2\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>To help create her weekly looks, Maura first sits with the show\u2019s costume team and \u201ctalks through what [she\u2019s] envisioning while they sketch away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen magically a couple of days later my vision is ready for a fitting,\u201d she said, noting she was \u201creally looking forward\u201d to working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/dancing-with-the-stars-designer-shares-bts-costume-secrets\/\">the wardrobe department<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s honestly such a fun part of the whole process and really gets you in the headspace for show day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When it came to her outfits on season 4 of <em>The Traitors<\/em>, Maura told <em>Us<\/em> the dramatic fashion featured on the series is why she \u201cdecided to go on the show in the first place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/maura-higgins-on-emotional-dancing-with-the-stars-rehearsal\/\" target=\"_blank\">Maura Higgins Details Emotional \u2018DWTS\u2019 Rehearsal: \u2018I Couldn\u2019t Hold It In\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you are dressed well, you perform well,\u201d she explained. \u201cI felt so much more confident in those outfits each week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the show, Maura wore extravagant hats, breast plates, crop tops, long skirts, gloves and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOutside of my wardrobe schedule, I honestly had no idea what was going on in the show day to day!\u201d she added. \u201cObviously it is a competition but dressing up in those outfits helps you feel like you\u2019re in character and lean into the storyline of it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Love Island<\/em> alum was most proud of a green latex look that she wore, \u201cbecause it really felt like [she] was in the spirit on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnly thing is, we had to be in that look for three days and latex is such a hassle to get on and move around in, but it was so worth it,\u201d she added. \u201cI loved that fit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maura also revealed to <em>Us<\/em> that she wants to raid her \u201cAmerican mom\u2019s\u201d closet, a.k.a. <strong>Lisa Rinna<\/strong>, whom she met while filming <em>The Traitors<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/maura-higgins-thinks-theres-no-time-for-romance-on-dwts\/\" target=\"_blank\">Maura Higgins Thinks \u2018There&#8217;s No Time&#8217; for Romance on &#8216;DWTS&#8217;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose couture fits are iconic. I\u2019m just obsessed with that woman!\u201d she said of Lisa, 63.<\/p>\n<p>After <strong>Rob Rausch<\/strong> won in the season finale of <em>The Traitors<\/em> and left Maura shocked (and walking away sans prize money), Lisa went viral for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/traitors-rob-rausch-gives-maura-higgins-a-birkin-on-wwhl\/\">helping him buy an Herm\u00e8s Birkin bag<\/a> to make it up to her.
