Now, players can choose whether or not they&#8217;d like the option to toggle them on or off by using a Hint button, which is mapped to R3 on the PlayStation 5 controller.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"slideshow\" data-slug=\"marvels-wolverine-review-screenshots\" data-value=\"marvels-wolverine-review-screenshots\" data-type=\"slug\" data-caption=\"\"><\/section>\n<p>This also goes for other features like the visibility of audio cues and nightmare roots, allowing players to navigate the game&#8217;s environment and come upon the Nightmare Cabin by themselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur latest update for Marvel\u2019s #WolverinePS5 is live and adds a new \u2018Hint\u2019 toggle for story-related Scent trails based on community feedback!\u201d Insomniac <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/insomniacgames\/status\/2107584494261653605\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cWith recent updates, you now have more control over the visibility of Scents, Audio Cues, and Nightmare Roots.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also included in <a href=\"https:\/\/support.insomniac.games\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/56161572160019--NEW-Update-1-002-001\">this patch<\/a> were fixes for \u201cadditional community-reported issues related to crashes and bugs.\u201d<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"ignvideo\" data-slug=\"wolverine-ps5-console-cover-and-controller\" data-loop=\"\" data-shorts=\"true\"><\/section>\n<p>This latest update follows a similar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/marvels-wolverine-dev-adds-option-to-turn-off-controversial-scent-trails-and-more-in-new-update?_cache=pass\">change to scent trails<\/a> that Insomniac made in late September, which gave players the option of turning off the scents for Whiskey Bottle scent trails, Material Crate Audio Clues, and Nightmare Door Roots. Prior to that, they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/marvels-wolverine-developer-nerfs-scent-trails-and-audio-sense-indicators-after-fart-gas-backlash\">toned down the scent trails&#8217; visibility<\/a> to &#8220;make these visuals less intense&#8221; by reducing their overall opacity.<\/p>\n<p>Insomniac has held true to its word of improving Wolverine as time goes by. On September 15, the developer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/wolverine-developer-insomniac-promises-to-further-refine-the-player-experience-based-on-feedback\">issued a message<\/a> to players, saying it was &#8220;actively engaged with our player community and gathering feedback to further refine the player experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These players have not been shy about sharing their feelings with Insomniac. Wolverine might be the developer&#8217;s single most-debated game of all time, in large part due to elements like its scent trails and white paint that tell players where to go.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"poll\" data-id=\"d11d7867-8769-4c4b-ac54-d89889213269\"><\/section>\n<p>Even Wolverine&#8217;s design was a hot topic of debate, with some feeling actor Liam McIntyre didn&#8217;t fit the role of Marvel&#8217;s iconic short king \u2014 but McIntyre said he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/marvels-wolverine-actor-liam-mcintyre-isnt-fazed-by-players-brutal-comments-about-the-game?_cache=pass\">wasn&#8217;t fazed by the criticism<\/a> at all, owing to his experience in taking on the mantle of Spartacus in the mid-2010s.<\/p>\n<h2>Marvel&#8217;s Wolverine Update 1.002.001 Patch Notes:<\/h2>\n<p><em>The latest update for Marvel\u2019s Wolverine (1.002.001) adds a new toggle for story-related Scent trails.
