Its parent company OTB Group announced the news Friday, stating in a press release that his exit marks the\u00a0conclusion of a \u201ctransformative chapter in the brand\u2019s history.\u201d Martens will remain creative director of Maison Margiela \u2014 also owned by OTB \u2014 a role he took on last year after John Galliano\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n<p>Diesel founder Renzo Rosso tapped Martens to lead the denim powerhouse back in 2020, introducing himself to the role with the \u201cDiesel x Diesel\u201d campaign, which dug into the label\u2019s late-1980s archive for inspiration. He brought Diesel back to the centre [sic] of the global fashion conversation while preserving the openness, energy and accessibility that have always distinguished us.
