This week, Ultrahuman announced a partnership that streamlines appointments, tests, and even surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>This morning (Sept. 17), Ultrahuman announced a partnership with HealthEx in a press release, bringing the HealthEx PowerPlug to its app. The company states the PowerPlug will &#8220;combine a member\u2019s medical records with continuous biomarkers&#8221; from its smart ring &#8220;in a secure, transparent, and consented manner.&#8221; This will roll out over the week; however, Ultrahuman shared details on how this new PowerPlug will work.<\/p><div id=\"dev95-296836600\" class=\"dev95- dev95-entity-placement\"><center>\r\n<script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '4ba6b6513c00e0ba76511f798ae56401',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 50,\r\n    'width' : 320,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highrevenueformat.com\/4ba6b6513c00e0ba76511f798ae56401\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n\t<\/center><\/div>\n<p>Ultrahuman members will need to verify their identity to activate HealthEx&#8217;s capabilities. This will automatically locate your health records from places you&#8217;ve received care before. Ultrahuman states HealthEx has nationwide reach, thanks to the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, users can choose which care sites the HealthEx PowerPlug accesses. Incorporating your biomarkers only enhances its usefulness. Your previous diagnosis and new medications will be displayed alongside the daily measurements your Ultrahuman Ring captures of your heart. Your resting heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, and deep sleep are all factored in.<\/p>\n<p>If a follow-up has been missed, or a condition\/medication record hasn&#8217;t been checked, the HealthEx PowerPlug will surface it for your attention. Users can bring this up as a question during their next doctor&#8217;s visit. Additionally, Ultrahuman highlights its &#8220;Visit Pack.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is a collection of your medication information\u2014a &#8220;doctor-ready summary&#8221;\u2014tied to your wearable data. This hasn&#8217;t been for me, but for family. And it can be a headache at times. The long waits, the misinformation because someone got their wires crossed. I can appreciate what Ultrahuman is trying to do by bringing in HealthEx. Its smart ring already captures a wealth of data about your body. It kind of sounds like a no-brainer to put that side-by-side with your records<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Research <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/health\/need-15-minutes-doctors-time\">states<\/a> the average doctor&#8217;s visit lasts ~15 minutes. What&#8217;s more, the information about your health is typically scattered. This PowerPlug with HealthEx aims to make that process a little less strenuous.<\/p>\n<p>The HealthEx PowerPlug has started rolling out today (Sept. 17) for users in the U.S. Users can access this PowerPlug from the Ultrahuman PowerPlugs tab in the Ultrahuman app. However, it costs $4.99\/mo or $45.99\/yr. If you&#8217;re interested in viewing your &#8220;longitudinal health history,&#8221; Ultrahuman states this is free through HealthEx Wallet.<\/p>\n<p>Ultrahuman and HealthEx plan to do more following the PowerPlug&#8217;s debut.
