It shows up as perfectionism, procrastination, and people-pleasing. It\u2019s the reason you feel crushed by a negative comment or completely defeated by a bad sales week. It\u2019s why you\u2019re scared to launch something new or why you disappear after you do, overwhelmed by the pressure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">And here\u2019s the kicker: <strong>You\u2019re not alone.<\/strong> I\u2019ve been there, and sometimes I\u2019m still there. But I\u2019ve learned a few tricks along the way that have helped me break free. I\u2019m sharing these because I wish someone had shared them with me earlier. These aren\u2019t magic fixes, but they\u2019re powerful mindset shifts that can help you loosen the grip of business codependency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Tip 1: Stop Expecting Your Business to Prove Your Worth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Your value isn\u2019t tied to your numbers. Sales, likes, and followers don\u2019t determine your worth\u2014you do. Do you feel crushed when engagement dips or elated when it spikes? If so, it\u2019s time to redefine success by purpose and impact, not metrics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Tip 2: Show Up Imperfectly (Because Perfect Doesn\u2019t Exist)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">I know how hard this one is\u2014trust me. I\u2019ve rewritten blog posts ten times before hitting \u201cpublish\u201d because I was scared of what people would think. But showing up imperfectly is better than not showing up at all. <strong>Give yourself permission to be messy,<\/strong> vulnerable, and real. People don\u2019t connect with perfection\u2014they connect with authenticity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Tip 3: Stop Giving Away Your Power<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">I see this a lot: saying \u201cyes\u201d to every client request, bending over backward, and then feeling resentful or burned out. Been there. <strong>Start setting boundaries<\/strong> and remember that saying \u201cno\u201d to what drains you is saying \u201cyes\u201d to your well-being and creativity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Tip 4: Launch, Learn, and Let Go<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Ever launch something and then immediately want to hide under a rock? Or worse, not launch at all because it\u2019s \u201cnot ready\u201d? That\u2019s business codependency\u2019s way of keeping you safe. <strong>View each launch as an experiment,<\/strong> not a test of your worth.
