It\u2019s a deep-dark chocolate spread that\u2019s just as welcome on the breakfast table with warm croissants or toast, as it is as an afternoon snack, swiped on a slice of baguette.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recipe comes from my friend Deb Perelman, of <a href=\"https:\/\/smittenkitchen.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/smittenkitchen.com\/\">Smitten Kitchen<\/a>, who came to Paris and made it in my kitchen with me. This recipe uses olive oil, which is healthy and delicious with the dark chocolate. If it\u2019s too firm, you can zap it for a few seconds in the microwave to make it more spreadable. If it\u2019s too soft, it can be chilled briefly. style=\"display: block;\">Warm the chopped chocolate and olive oil over low heat in a medium saucepan, stirring until the chocolate is melted and smooth. With a whisk, stir in the powdered sugar and cocoa powder mixture.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-59404-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Transfer the mixture to small bowl and refrigerate until it&#8217;s spreadable, which can take 2 to 3 hours. Check it every 15 minutes until it&#8217;s the consistency of chocolate pudding. It can be refrigerated for up to one month.
