For more than twenty years, mood boards have been at the heart of nearly everything I’ve created – from my books, interiors, products, and photo shoots to exhibitions, brand concepts, online courses, and collaborations. Whenever I have too many ideas circling in my mind, I take it to my wall, Pinterest, or the table top!
I begin gathering images, colors, materials, textures, words, and small details that hold a certain feeling. At first, they may not seem connected. But as I slow down, edit, and pay attention, a red thread begins to appear. The idea that once felt scattered becomes something I can see, understand, explain, and eventually bring to life.
This process has helped me enormously throughout my creative career. Mood boards have allowed me to communicate ideas to publishers, clients, collaborators, students, and brands in a way that words alone often cannot. Honestly, I don’t believe I would have attracted so many exciting opportunities, secured so many collaborations, or built such a profitable creative career without them.
And now, I’m ready to teach you my complete process.

Beginning October 5, I’ll be teaching a brand-new five-week live online course called Vision + Mood Board Studio.
This isn’t a random course about collecting pretty pictures or arranging images attractively on a page. Of course, we’ll explore the foundational elements – color, texture, composition, atmosphere, and visual storytelling – but then we’ll go much deeper than that – and you’ll learn what other courses cannot teach – my professional experience and how my mood boards turn into collaborations, projects, product design, spaces, courses, and revenue.
I want to help you understand why certain images belong together, recognize the feeling at the center of an idea, make confident creative decisions, and turn what’s in your imagination into a clear visual direction that you can actually use. Because if you just make mood boards for fun – you’re missing out on some big opportunities!
Maybe you have so many ideas that you don’t know where to begin. You save images constantly, open endless browser tabs, make Pinterest boards, talk through your ideas with friends – or ChatGPT! – and still feel unsure about which direction to take.
Maybe you see your vision in your head, but struggle to explain it to a client, collaborator, partner, or audience. Or maybe you’ve stopped trusting your own creative instincts because you’ve spent too much time looking at what everyone else is doing.
If you recognize yourself in any of this, you’re not lacking creativity. You need me! You need a process that helps you bring your ideas into focus.
What We’ll Create Together
For five weeks, we’ll gather on Mood Board Mondays at 8:00 p.m. CET inside my virtual studio. I’ll introduce a new concept each week, teach you my methods, give you a guided project, and work alongside you as you develop your boards. I’ll also drop new lessons throughout each week that we’re together in the classroom, and you’ll have a community space to share your boards with others.
We’ll begin by discovering the feeling behind an idea. You’ll learn to look beyond individual images and notice the atmosphere, colors, words, textures, and emotions connecting them. From there, I’ll show you how to gather and edit inspiration, strengthen your composition, and create a cohesive visual story that feels personal rather than copied.
We’ll also move beyond individual creative projects and look at the bigger picture. I’ll guide you through a new vision-boarding method that I’ve never taught before, helping you explore what you want for your home, work, creativity, relationships, well-being, and next chapter. You’ll use this process to create one or two vision boards for 2027.
You’ll then learn how to refine and present your ideas, translating your boards into real decisions for a room, renovation, brand, event, product, photo shoot, book, exhibition, business, or personal project.
And during our final week, we’ll explore how you can use your new skills professionally.
Mood and vision boards can become part of your client services, creative collaborations, workshops, online courses, presentations, or digital products. If you’re interested in teaching your own mood board workshops or finding thoughtful new ways to generate income from your creativity, I’ll help you begin shaping those ideas too.
By the end of our time together, you’ll have completed at least five mood and vision boards—and, even more importantly, you’ll have a creative process you can return to whenever you need clarity.
You Don’t Need to Be a Designer – this course is for everyone across many creative professions.
You don’t need formal design training, expensive software, a creative business, or previous mood board experience to join us, either.
You may be decorating your home, considering a new direction for your life, planning a personal project, or simply longing to reconnect with your creativity. You may also be a designer, artist, photographer, stylist, coach, therapist, maker, educator, or small-business owner who wants to communicate ideas more clearly and use mood boards professionally.
You can work digitally, by hand, or combine both methods. Simple materials such as magazines, printed images, paper, scissors, glue, fabric, ribbon, paint samples, or anything else that catches your eye are enough. I’ll provide a complete materials guide before we begin.
This is not about learning to copy my aesthetic. It is about learning to recognize and trust your own.
