Two Point Studios has announced Rides & Relics, the newest DLC expansion for Two Point Museum, and this one lets curators build their own theme park attractions from scratch. The pack adds funfair-themed exhibits and customizable mini-coasters, and it launches October 8 for £9.99 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam and Epic. A Switch 2 version is listed as “coming soon.”
A Nod to Theme Park’s Bullfrog Roots
There’s a neat bit of symmetry buried in this announcement. Two Point Hospital began life as a spiritual successor to Bullfrog Productions’ Theme Hospital, and now Two Point Museum is reaching back further still, borrowing the DNA of Bullfrog’s 1994 classic Theme Park.
That connection isn’t just thematic. Two Point Studios founders Mark Webley and Gary Carr both worked at Bullfrog Productions and were part of the team that built Theme Park back in 1994, according to Eurogamer. Rides & Relics follows a run of DLC that has already reimagined the museum-running formula through zoo animals, art appreciation, and a D&D-inspired tabletop fantasy spin.
Building the Perfect Funfair
The headline feature is the ability to construct your own mini-coasters, tweaking height, tilt, and camber across five unique coaster themes. New Funfair Experts can head out to the Gearbox Fairground expedition map to dig up blueprints and perks unlocking “17+” funfair-themed exhibits, including interactive displays and antique amusements.
Among the attractions shown off so far: a pirate ship, a haunted house, a Ferris wheel, a popcorn stand, a candyfloss stall, a teacup ride, and – because why not – a cheese flume. The DLC also introduces a brand-new museum location called Riquetti Gardens, complete with its own five-star campaign, plus new gift shop merchandise, themed decorations, and ten unlockable mascot outfits for staff to wear while entertaining queuing guests.
