‘I want my cat back’: Cat visiting nursing home inspires joy and heartwarming meowmories to cat loving senior residents

Therapy dogs are some of the most well known cases of critters coming to the aid of hoomans. These puppers play a critical role in the emotional wellbeing of so many people, yet there are those of us hoomans out there who may not require the same sort of support, but still need a helping emeowtional hand. That is where our therapy cat comes into play and where this story comes from. From the senior citizens who had to sadly give up their freedoms for the safety of a nursing home and in the process lose their own cat children.

It is a heartbreaking thing to hear about and think about. The idea that one day you will be shipped off to a nursing home only to have your cat child ripped from your fingers. As though it was not bad enough that someone has decided for them that they are no longer able to live alone, but they also decided to rip their cat from their hands. So it is rather dang heartwarming that a private cat loving citizen would step up and take it upon themselves to share his kitty with those who so desperately want that love.
